"What I particularly like about my role as a member of the U25 jury is the focus on socio-cultural added value.
We are a diverse team with different perspectives and cultural backgrounds. I find it very enriching that part of the jury belongs to the same generation as the applicants.
As a jury member, it's not just about deciding which projects will ultimately receive funding, but above all about giving opportunities and opening doors. It's about looking at how we can enrich society in the long term, which project applications are promising and how big the cultural impact is, without neglecting the social component. A good project should be current, innovative and, above all, young, with an interest in strengthening social encounters and opening up discourse.
I consider it a privilege to be able to help shape a piece of contemporary history and to support young creative artists in realising their visions and project ideas.
It is very important that young people, young ideas and their voices are heard, because shaping culture is a task for society and we are part of that."
